2005 Telly Awards

2005 Telly Award Winner!

For those of you who do not know about the Telly Awards:
"The Telly Awards honor the very best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions, and work created for the web." -from Tellyawards.com
I had shot a three part commercial series for the local highschool play "Joseph and the Multicolored Dream Coat." Besides being very well received by the students, crew, and cast members abother individual, Mr. Bob Anderson, took interest in the video. Anderson, who's son was the lead actor in the production, is also Vice President and Creative Director at Classic Worldwide Productions based in Cleveland. He told me about the Telly Awards and entered the commercial on my behalf. As it turns out I won a Bronze Telly in my category, and since then have had a really nice statuette!

On an episode of the Colbert Report (Ep. 3115, aired 9/13/2007) Colbert goes on a rant about the upcoming Emmy Awards how he doesn't need another award. He states:
"I don’t really need another. I’ve got plenty. I already have 3 Emmys, 2 Peabodys, A doctorate from Knox College, and..." He lifts up a Telly Award..."this thing… I think you use it to open Hawaiian Punch cans."

I thought it was really funny.
